WHere is a simplified version of a cocktail from our latest menu. This is a party-sized pre-mixed that is loaded with the essence of the Christmas time, which makes it ideal for hosting a holiday party. Save the extra cordial you can use for brunch beverages, sweets, or to make additional servings of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Cocktail (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Cordial: Put every components inside a saucepan, bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve. After that, remove from the stove and leave to cool completely. Transfer into an sterilised bottle, seal keeping it chilled, where it will keep for up to one month.
To make Batch Mix: Pour the specified spirits and syrup into a big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then pass it through preferably using cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the premix into a stirring glass containing ice, and agitate carefully for one minute until cold. Strain to a cold coupe glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries adding the final touch with a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
